The SX408 is a powerful though compact ported subwoofer which is especially designed for providing a clear bass reproduction in small to medium size applications requiring a warm and detailed sound without obtrusive elements. It consists of a special designed 8” driver with an RMS power handling of 150 Watt and maximum power handling of 300 Watt. In combination with the ported cabinet, this provides a powerful bass reproduction with a wide frequency response as low as 37 Hz at -10 dB and with a very flat frequency characteristic up to 250 Hz. The open front finish of the cabinet provides a wide dispersion which results in a large coverage area. This makes it the perfect low frequency extension for any installation, both containing ceiling or surface mount loudspeakers. The cabinet is constructed using medium density wood while the compact size makes it easy to be hidden at any location. It can be installed standing on the floor or a shelf or the optional mounting bracket allows mounting to a number of locations such as wall suspension. For connecting, two speaker connectors are provided on the rear side of the cabinet. The second connector can be used for easy signal link-through to other cabinets. This cabinet is available in black (SX408) and white (SX408W).
